Manchester City vs Tottenham: Battle of the Runner-Ups
Manchester City vs Tottenham
Chelsea has taken the lead in Premier League and held it strongly. With an amazing 7 point lead in such a tight league, they are looking to take the title this year. Behind Chelsea, we have Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City all within 3 points. Manchester City has come down a lot, after leading the table in the early season and some terrible results such as 0-4 loss at home against Everton has taken the optimism away from their game and replaced it with doubts for the rest of the season
Last chance for Manchester City to wake up for the title race. Their start for the season was very good, but recently the results have not been so consistent and last week they suffered their worst defeat of the season, which will surely be in the back of their head this week, when league second Tottenham comest for a visit in Manchester. Tottenham is a very solid and consistent team this season. They score a good amount of goals and concede next to none. They have won six matches in a row now, one of the opponents being the league leader Chelsea. Tottenham has never won seven matches in a row, so there is a club record on the line here.
What to bet? Both teams have their reasons to take this game. City is playing at home and they have a great record against Tottenham at home games, but Tottenham is on a streak. I would bet under 2.5 goals with a very good odds of 2.05. Both teams really want this win and neither wants to make mistakes, so I believe low goal game is ahead. Biggest threat for this bet is Harry Kane and Dele Alli who both have had great success in scoring recently.
Crystal Palace vs Everton
This is a good game when you think of betting and winnings. Crystal Palace is in trouble with only one point out of their last five games while Everton has collected 10 points in the same period. Everton’s Lukaku is dangerous and I won’t be surprised if he scores against Palace. Everton’s odds are pretty as playing away makes them higher. Despite not having home advantage, Everton is higher at the league table and leading Palace in every dimension. Palace has only kept a clean sheet once this season, which is a good representative of bad defense play. This hints that many goals might be scored this game.
What to be? With a rather strong Everton and many goals to be made, I would make two bets. First one for Everton to win away with odds of 2.4. Second one to predict high amount of goals made, we get 2.1 odds for betting over 2.5 goals. I would also create a combination ticket for these two bets together, when they bring an amazing 5.04 odds. Bet with a moderate bet and hope to rake in some sweet money.
